Description:
Orius insidiosus - Minute Pirate Bug - attacks Adult Thrips, and are general predators, feeding on many pest species. Primarily used to control all stages of Thrips. Adults kill as many as 80 pests per day. Without pests to eat, Orius will feed on pollen. Multiple releases are recommended because it takes 4-1 week to establish a colony. Adults are tiny flying insects (3mm). Females can lay up to 3 eggs per day. Nymphs go through 5 instars before adulthood. All stages are predatory. Orius may enter into diapause (hibernation) when daylight is less than 12 hours. In most cases, Artificial Grow lights will keep the Orius from going into hibernation during the winter months. Florescent lights will work as well.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Returns
Because we ship live insects and want them to arrive to you as freshly as possible, we only ship Monday through Wednesday. This means your shipment will arrive Tuesday through Thursday, possibly Friday if there are any unforeseen delays such as bad weather. Since FedEx does not ship over the weekend, we do not want insects to sit in a fulfillment center where they have a greater chance of not arriving to your garden fresh-as-can-be.
